SURF Travel Grant

SURF is proud to announce the availability of student travel funds, generously donated by our faculty, for meeting attendance.

A "Travel Grant" committee has been formed and consists of 3 student members and one faculty member to review grant applications 

and select grant winners.  The following guidelines have been established by the committee for application procedures and the review 

process:

The Travel Grant Committee will consist of 4 people:  3 students and 1 faculty member

Travel grant winners must have approval by 3 of 4 members of the Committee or 2 of 3 if a Committee member is applying for a grant

Grants will be reviewed 3 times per year (Fall, Spring, Summer) for meetings occurring during that semester

Applications are due by the end of the 1st month of the semester and selections will be made shortly therafter.

The Committee will award up to $400.00 per semester

Award values will vary depending on destination:  Maximum awards are $100.00 for in-state travel or $200.00 for out-of-state travel

The recommendation letter from your major advisor is important to the selection process, be sure to provide prior warning and time for them to draft a letter.
